Hello! My name is Aurora Putri Maheswari, and in this blog, I’m going to talk about Biography.
A biography is a detailed account of a person's life, written by someone else. It usually covers important events, experiences, achievements, and sometimes personal struggles. Biographies can be written about anyone—famous or not—and are meant to help readers understand the subject's life and legacy.

After reading the text about B.J. Habibie, I’ve come to better understand what an extraordinary figure he was. His life journey wasn't only about becoming Indonesia’s third president, but also about his remarkable contributions as a scientist and engineer. I was especially impressed to learn that he developed important theories like the Habibie Factor, Habibie Theorem, and Habibie Method, and that he was involved in the development of the Airbus A-300B.
I also gained insight into the struggles he faced while living and studying in Germany—working part-time while pursuing his education, and eventually becoming a key figure in the aerospace industry. Despite his success abroad, he remained deeply committed to Indonesia, returning when called upon by President Suharto to help build the nation.
What inspired me the most was how he led Indonesia through a very difficult time during the Asian financial crisis and continued to contribute to the country even after his presidency. His story shows how knowledge, dedication, and love for one's country can truly make a lasting impact.

Brando Franco Windah, better known as Windah Basudara, was born on 14 March 1992 in Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. He is the second of four siblings—two older sisters, Florence and Caroline, and a younger brother, Vincent. His family moved to Jakarta when he was still in kindergarten. He attended SD Santo Vincentius, SMP Marsudirini, and SMA Santo Bellarminus. At age 11, Windah experienced bullying, prompting him to join a homeschooling program overseen by renowned children’s psychologist Kak Seto
During high school, Windah dropped out temporarily to work at his father’s internet café before being encouraged to complete homeschooling and graduate. Afterward, he enrolled at the London School of Public Relations (LSPR), majoring in International Relations, but had to halt studies due to financial constraints. He then worked various jobs: waiter at a café earning ~IDR 900K/month, then at a restaurant in Jakarta, and later at a five‑star hotel where he earned around IDR 10 million/month before quitting to pursue
Driven by his love for gaming and comedic flair, Windah launched his YouTube channel Windah Basudara on 29 December 2018. His channel name means “siblings” in Manado, reflecting his inclusive spirit. In under a year, his subscriber count skyrocketed—from ~1,000 in April 2019 to over 1 million by mid-2020. His unique persona, humorous gimmicks, and fearless in-game commentary earned him millions of fans, particularly among Indonesia’s younger audiences known as “bocil kematian.”
Windah’s influence goes well beyond gaming. He has used his platform to raise millions of rupiah through charity streams—raising over IDR 1 billion in a single livestream to support multiple causes including COVID relief and education. He also collaborated on building a nature school in Papua, contributing ticket proceeds worth IDR 900 million for the project. In 2021, he became brand ambassador for esports organization RRQ. His ability to blend entertainment, philanthropy, and community makes him an inspiring figure in Indonesia's digital space

After reading this, I understand how Alexander Graham Bell’s personal life and family background played a major role in shaping his scientific achievements. I learned that both his mother and wife were deaf, which deeply influenced his dedication to studying speech and sound. It was fascinating to discover that although he invented the telephone—a groundbreaking achievement—he actually saw it as a distraction from his "real" scientific work. I was also surprised to learn that he didn’t even keep a telephone in his own study!
His passion didn’t stop at the telephone; Bell also contributed to fields like aeronautics, hydrofoils, and optical communication. His leadership at the National Geographic Society showed that his interests extended far beyond technology—he cared about knowledge and exploration too. Bell’s story helped me see how personal experiences can lead to world-changing innovation

Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, which is now part of Croatia. His father, Milutin Tesla, was a Serbian Orthodox priest and writer, and his mother, Đuka Mandić, was an inventor of household tools despite having no formal education. From a young age, Tesla showed an incredible memory and a fascination with electricity. He studied electrical engineering at the Austrian Polytechnic in Graz, though he never completed his degree
Tesla is best known for developing the alternating current (AC) electricity system. He also invented the Tesla coil, which became a key component in early radio technology. In the U.S., he worked with Thomas Edison briefly, but they had different views on electricity. Tesla’s vision for AC power eventually proved superior, revolutionizing energy distribution worldwide.
In his Colorado Springs lab, Tesla conducted amazing experiments in wireless energy, radio waves, and resonance. He believed energy could be transmitted without wires and began building the Wardenclyffe Tower, though it was never completed. Tesla's ideas led to breakthroughs in remote control, X-rays, radar, and electromagnetism—decades ahead of his time
In his later years, Tesla lived in New York hotels and became more withdrawn. He died in 1943, alone and in debt. However, his contributions to science and technology are now widely celebrated. Monuments, books, and even the Tesla electric car company honor his legacy. Today, Nikola Tesla is remembered as one of history’s most visionary inventors
